We have locomotive running days on our raised level (2½”, 3½”, 5” gauge) and ground level (5”, 7¼” gauge) tracks, and on our extensive Garden Railway (32mm gauge). The Society was set up in 1990 by a few local people who each enjoyed operating Miniature Railways and grew to a dozen or so active members. For many years we have operated a portable seven and a quarter gauge track at many local Fetes and Fairs using a small electric loco to start with
The railway and its trains are operated entirely by its unpaid members and volunteers. As a society we cover all aspects of model engineering and cover a wide range of skills and interests, however our main focus is on our live steam miniature railways and all that its operation and maintenance entails.
