The Gravesend Model Marine and Engineering Society (GMMES) is a small friendly club, whose home track is situated in North Kent overlooking the estuary of the river Thames. Our miniature steam railway offers train rides for children and adults every Sunday afternoon from 2:00pm until 5:00pm, from early spring to late autumn (British summer time).
Abbots Model Engineering was born in 2005 when we decided to build a Class 66 "Freightliner" loco, completed in 2006 this loco has clocked up over 1000 miles. This project inspired us to design and develop other items for use on track, and, the past 2 and half years has been devoted to just that.
